• Iowa Jobs Training Program (260F) Application for Assistance

    • Count each employee only once, even if they attend multiple trainings.
    • If one employee takes two or more courses, they are still only counted one time.
    • You may train more employees than you list, so it is okay to estimate conservatively.

     

    ⚠️ Important:
    If fewer unique employees are trained than the number listed, the business will be required to repay a proportional amount of the training funds.

    Complete the Training Activities - Details Table for each training activity to be provided (if more rows needed, contact Maria Taylor).

    Training activities include: vocational and skill assessment and testing, consulting, evaluation, job-related training, etc.

    List each training activity. Include all direct costs associated with each item listed including trainer cost, equipment, materials, supplies, facility cost, transportation, meals, etc.

     

    • Do not include employee wages.
    • Use broad categories (ie: Technical, Essential Skills, Safety, etc)
      • If you use a broad category for training, all employees listed should be training in all activities within that category.

    Complete the Participant Information - Details Table for each participant attending training (if more rows needed, contact Maria Taylor).

    This section includes job titles, average hourly wage and number of employees with that specific title receiving training.

     

    • Can group title together (Managers, Supervisors, etc.)
    • Executive titles will be flagged helpful hint employee does not include a person with executive responsibilities or temp employees.
    • An employee does include a person with executive responsibilities if that person works in both an executive and employee-based capacity for a small business with fewer than 50 persons.

  • The state of Iowa will not allow the Business Certification Form or the Hazardous Waste Form to be signed electronically.  Businesses will need to download the forms, complete and upload them below.
